red means STOP... last night i had the privilege to attend an awareness concert for HIV/AIDS research called THINK POSI+IVE held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC)... some of the famous performers were Kuh Ledesma, Ogie Alcasid, Christian Bautista, Barbie’s Cradle, Jimmy Bondoc, Dulce, Jinky Llamanzares, Richard Merck and The Tux, as well as dance segues by the GK S.I.G.A youth... it was a long night, but a night that really opened my eyes...

this was my first time to attend such benefit concerts, and i realized how much my old country has changed in terms of its understanding of world issues... sadly, i find these events still cannot answer the age old question of morality... yes, we need to care & love those who have been strickened with this disease, and research ways to cure them, but for me the issue is prevention... HIV/AIDS advocates still press on, fund and advertise the safe-sex angle rather than saved sex, presenting chastity as a last resort instead of the ONLY resort...

red means STOP... if you're not ready for the responsibilities of parenthood, don't have sex yet until you are committed to someone in marriage... simple, no flashy statements, just the plain truth...
